So what's going on with this postal strike I'm hearing about? I have some packages to Canada that haven't made it to their destination. -_-

Yeaaaah the postal workers are on strike. It's very bothersome because a) I cant do anything with my bank account until I get my new card, which is coming via postal service. b) We've got to pay our bills online (which isnt too bad), and c) I was expecting some information from a university to arrive in the mail, buuuut it doesnt look like that will be happening anytime soon. :/

Do you happen to know why they're on strike?

The same reason why a lot of big corporations have walk-outs effecting the country here.
Greedy Unions.
Apparently a decent salary and health/dental benefits just isnt enough these days. Although, I know lots of people who would trade jobs in a heartbeat just to get the same benefits. Now they want very very very generous pension payments, which the Postal Service (Canada Post) just cant handle. They've already given a 6.9% pay increase, which pushes their anual net income to past the Canadian average, which is roughly $43,298.
Blahhh I hope this ends soon, I'd like to get my mail, yo.
